Our picturesque private island is situated in one of Finland's most exciting regions.
Up to 16 guests can join your island adventure at the same time and have an unforgettable time in the happiest country on earth.
Majorsgrund is located off the coast of Western Finland - about 600 km south of the Arctic Circle.
With a length of about 250 meters and a width of about 120 meters
the island can also easily be explored on foot.
In addition, our island rises about 10mm out of the sea every year.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site Kvarken archipelago starts in sight.
The emerging City of Vaasa(approx. 75,000 inhabitants) including international Airport VAA,
is located approximately 19 km from the pier.
In the recently renovated log houses on Majorsgrund our guests can rest
and enjoy seclusion.
A total of up to 16 people can stay in 2 houses on the island.
Log house "Aurinko"
With a living space of approx. 90m² the largest house on the island.
​On the ground floor is located

Sofa beds & fireplace, dining table & kitchen (incl. fridge + 4 burner gas stove), bathroom & toilet, and a bedroom with double bed (160cm).

On the first floor there are 2 more double beds (160cm) and 2 single beds (80cm).
room divider ensure privacy, regardless of whether you are traveling with your family, friends or as part of a team building event with your company.
From the covered balcony (approx. 10m²) including a monkey swing you have a magnificent view of the archipelago.
Also stands on the large covered terrace(approx. 20m²) a gas grill at leisure.
In total, up to 10 people can sleep in this log cabin.

Log House "Meri"
This almost 70 year old, recently renovated log house with a living space of approx. 65 m² can sleep up to 6 people.

Sofa beds & fireplace, dining table & kitchen (incl. fridge + 4 burner gas stove), bathroom & toilet, as well as a bedroom with double bed (160cm) incl. bunk bed (each 80cm - only suitable for children)
The two sofa beds (each 120cm) serve as additional sleeping space.
A light-flooded loggia overlooking the sea gives this house its special charm.

Sauna
Our sauna house (approx. 30 m²) near the pier has a relaxation room as well as the actual wood-fired sauna.
The relaxation room of the sauna can also be used as a bedroom for 2 additional guests if required.
Here is a double bed (140cm) ready.

Our outdoor hot water shower with a view of the sea is also located on the covered terrace of the sauna house.

The wood to fire the sauna ovens comes exclusively from the island.
Beach bar
Our Reggae Beach Bar is certainly one of the island's hotspots.
Directly at our small but fine
"Three Little Birds" sandy beach,
you can not only enjoy the sunset perfectly here.
A refrigerator and a music system are available for free.

Le feu dans la cheminée nous a tenu bon chaud en cette mi-septembre et les couleurs automnales qui arrivaient étaient de toute beauté. La maison est très bien équipée. Timo s'est chargé de l'organisation entre l'aeroport et l'île, juste parfait ! Timo a été un hôte très gentil et avenant. Il a toujours pris le temps de répondre à nos sollicitations avant le voyage. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés ce havre de paix connecté à 1000% à la nature ! Se doucher dehors avec pour seul habit le coucher de soleil on dit oui !!! merci merci:"

“Island managers are very nice and flexible. We stayed with two 5-7 year old kids and there were lots of interesting activities for adults and kids: sauna, SUP board, boat with outboard motor, toys, beach, fishing rods, exploring the island, grilling, etc. I was surprised about how convenient staying there was, despite it being an island without connections to the electricity grid or municipal water. Wind turbines and solar panels provide electricity while desalinated and cleaned running water is created automatically. The warm shower at the sauna is the cherry on the cake.”

"Trotz des schlechten Regenwetters haben wir die Zeit sehr genossen und waren dafür öfter in der Sauna als am Beach :-) Aber dick eingepackt haben wir auch die Zeit dort mit schönem Blick und Sonnenuntergang genießen können.
