Your private island in Finland

We stayed for a week with our kids and my parents. It’s a magical place, with lots to explore and plenty to do inside on a rainy day. Our favorite thing to do was swim and sauna. Timo and Jannis have outfitted the whole island with lots of thoughtful touches. It was like our own summer home for a week.

Die Unterkunft und die Insel sind genau so, wie beschrieben. Ein wunderbarer Ort mit dem man sich sofort verbunden fühlt. Die Abholung hat perfekt funktioniert und die Unterkunft ist mit perfekt ausgestattet. Auch die Kommunikation mit Timo hat einwandfrei funktioniert.

Wir werden absolut wiederkommen!

What a place! Isolated, beautiful, you chop your own wood to warm the sauna, sunsets are fantastic and it is a perfect place to spend time away from everything.

Really enjoyed it and Timo was always available when needed.

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour en famille à Majorsgrund ! Le feu dans la cheminée nous a tenu bon chaud en cette mi-septembre et les couleurs automnales qui arrivaient étaient de toute beauté.

La maison est très bien équipée.

Timo s'est chargé de l'organisation entre l'aeroport et l'île, juste parfait !

Timo a été un hôte très gentil et avenant. Il a toujours pris le temps de répondre à nos sollicitations avant le voyage.

Nous recommandons les yeux fermés ce havre de paix connecté à 1000% à la nature !

Se doucher dehors avec pour seul habit le coucher de soleil on dit oui !!!

An amazing place. We had a great stay on this beautiful and very well managed island. It provided the ideal isolation/relax with a bit of adventure built in.

Island managers are very nice and flexible. We stayed with two 5-7 year old kids and there were lots of interesting activities for adults and kids: sauna, SUP board, boat with outboard motor, toys, beach, fishing rods, exploring the island, grilling, etc. I was surprised about how convenient staying there was, despite it being an island without connections to the electricity grid or municipal water. Wind turbines and solar panels provide electricity while desalinated and cleaned running water is created automatically. The warm shower at the sauna is the cherry on the cake.

Ein Traumhafter Urlaub, waren 3 Nächte auf Majorsgrund. Die Insel hat alles zu bieten was man braucht von Entspannung bis hin zu einer Beachbar. Man sieht wie viel Mühe sich Timo und Jannis gemacht haben die Insel einzurichten, einfach herrlich. Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Let's start off with Timo and Jannis. They are two amazing hosts. And the fact that they offer, what seems like something you could never afford, for that price is pretty rare. A private island all by yourself. Pretty rad. Everything was according the description.

We had an amazing time on Majorsgrund. We even saw some northern lights. The perfect place for nature lovers and peace seekers.

Trotz des schlechten Regenwetters haben wir die Zeit sehr genossen und waren dafür öfter in der Sauna als am Beach :-) Aber dick eingepackt haben wir auch die Zeit dort mit schönem Blick und Sonnenuntergang genießen können.

Timo war zu jeder Zeit erreichbar und auch ungefragt sehr hilfsbereit. Wir schauen uns gerne in ein paar Jahren wieder an, was aus der Insel geworden ist.

We had a lovely, peaceful few days on this beautiful island and loved the slower pace of life. The house is well equipped and cosy.

Communication was great from booking up to our visit, Timo was on hand to answer my many questions! A helpful book was also provided full of details on how to get the most out of your stay.

We would definitely love to return one day :)
